FAQ

EXIF Viewer & remover questions

Use this FAQ to capture search traffic around EXIF viewers, GPS removal, and browser privacy workflows. Update it as you add new automations.

Is RemovExif just an EXIF Viewer or also a remover?

Both. The viewer lets you inspect GPS coordinates, camera metadata, and timestamps. Once you are confident, the remover strips those fields locally so nothing ever uploads.

Does the EXIF Viewer work offline?

Yes. After the page loads, every preview and cleaning action runs inside your browser. That means reporters, NGOs, and privacy teams can use it from locked-down networks.

What formats can I clean?

Upload JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF, AVIF, and HEIC. The tool automatically detects available EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata and removes what it finds.

Will removing EXIF impact image quality?

No. RemovExif edits metadata segments only. Pixels remain untouched, so your files keep the same resolution, color profile, and compression settings.

Can I process multiple photos in one go?

Absolutely. Drop an entire folder or drag multiple files. You can preview each file’s EXIF data, then download cleaned images individually or as a ZIP archive.
